AARON SIGMOND is an award-winning publisher, editor and bestselling author (and coauthor) whose work focuses on subjects encompassing luxury lifestyle and heritage brands. He is also a noted media and marketing executive who serves as a consultant and content generator for some of the most esteemed global luxury brands.
Growing up in and around Los Angeles, Sigmond took a rather straightforward path toward being an author: By age 12 he was editor of his junior high school newspaper; he contributed to his high school newspaper; and as an undergraduate, he was on staff as the TV critic for the University of Southern California (USC) Daily Trojan student newspaper. After doing post-graduate work at the UCLA Extension Writers Program, Sigmond moved to New York City to become editor in chief of his first national magazine, the men’s cigar lifestyle title SMOKE. Over the next two decades, he held positions including group editor, group publisher and creative director at a variety of publications.
He has worked on both the content and business sides of the two most noted men’s media brands ever, Esquire and Playboy, and has contributed to Maxim, Time Inc., Crain Communications and The Hollywood Reporter.
Sigmond divides his time between New York City and Detroit.
